Board of Directors

Andrew Tims is a freelance Creative Consultant and Arts Project Manager who until very recently was working for Bright Space (formerly Creative Partnerships Birmingham) and with a number of schools in Birmingham to develop exciting programmes of work that encourage creative teaching and learning approaches within the curriculum.
Between 1999 & 2005 Andrew worked as Ikon Gallery’s Education Co-ordinator, developing a highly acclaimed education and participation programme with many of the gallery’s exhibiting artists. In 2005 he joined Fierce! Festival to become their first Creative Learning Manager, developing an award winning learning programme, delivering the Youth Panel training, and managing the company’s Platinum artist development programme.
Andrew is a governor at Colmore Infant and Nursery School, Kings Heath, and was previously a director of Birmingham Artists. (Joined May 2008)

Chris Unitt is Social Media Manager at Made Media. He was the founding Managing Director of Meshed Media who develop digital and online projects and help clients to make the most of their online presence. Those clients include the International Dance Festival Birmingham, Apples & Snakes, DanceXchange, Fierce and Birmingham Hippodrome.
He is also the editor of the acclaimed website Created in Birmingham which was voted Best UK Blog in the 2008 Weblog Awards. Chris organises the popular, monthly Birmingham Social Media Cafe and well as Film Dash – the 48-hour film challenge. He is also one of the team behind Jobplot, the creative jobs board for the West Midlands. (Joined September 2009)

Liz Jones is the Finance and HR Officer for Audiences Central; the audience development agency for the arts in the West Midlands. Prior to her 3 years working within the arts sector with Audiences Central her experience in finance was gained within the manufacturing environment. Her choice to work in the arts sector and, in 2009, joining The Other Way Works board has been fed by her longstanding interest in visual art, theatre and heritage. (Joined September 2009)
